IIT's copycat robot

IITs copycat robot What we have seen in movies such as iRobot, Terminator and Endhiran is something we may have to live with in the near future. The RISE Group of Reconfigurable Robotics Laboratory at IIT-Madras has developed an ingenious framework that lets a robot learn chores by observing natural movements and gestures of a human being. The group headed by Pradyot KVN, a masters student, comprises Manimaran and Prahasaran, as well as internees Anshul and Abhishek. Pradyot has also showcased his research at the European Workshop in Reinforcement Learning held at Greece, and was one of 30 students from all over the world selected to attend the Asia-Pacific Student Entrepreneurship Summit at Stanford University.
